The industrial carbon fibre brush has a vast number of contact points (10,000 per mm typical) which discharge to ground static charges on insulators. The brush is positioned 2-6mm from the surface to be discharged and grounded either through the main frame of the machine via the mountings or through a grounding lead which should be connected to the local mains supply earth. Available in standard lengths from 130 to 830mm in 100mm steps or custom lengths up to 1,500mm. Typical applications are dataprinters, offset printers, laminating machines, photographic equipment, plastic film equipment, vacuum forming, packaging machines and carpet manufacturing equipment. |
